Thermofield dynamics: Quantum chaos versus decoherence

Quantum chaos imposes universal spectral signatures that govern the thermofield dynamics of a many-body system in isolation. The fidelity between initial and time-evolving double states exhibits as function time decay, dip, ramp plateau. Sources decoherence give rise to nonunitary evolution result information loss. Energy dephasing gradually suppresses quantum noise fluctuations dip associated with correlations. Decoherence further delays appearance shortens span linear chaotic behavior. interplay loss is determined by competition among decoherence, plateau characteristic times, demoonstrated stochastic Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model.
